Biography

Rachel Lerner joined Hebrew SeniorLife as general counsel and chief compliance officer in March, 2012, and has served as chief legal officer since September, 2024.  She has over 20 years of experience counseling health care and senior living clients. She also serves as the executive director of Hebrew SeniorLife's Center for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and Neglect.

After graduating from New York University School of Law, Ms. Lerner spent several years in the New York and Washington D.C. offices of a national law firm representing non-profit and for-profit health care organizations in a variety of transactional, regulatory compliance, and litigation matters. She then served as Associate General Counsel and Corporate Compliance Officer for a publicly-traded national long-term care and senior housing provider operating approximately 250 sites in 33 states.
