Miriam Priven (she/her) is the LGBTQ+ chaplain resident at Hebrew SeniorLife. She grew up in California and has loved living in the Somerville area for the last decade. She has spent her years in Massachusetts working to support LGBTQ+ survivors of partner abuse, organizing with seniors for affordable senior health care, and being part of Jewish and Somerville-based community groups. She is currently in training to become a chaplain through Hebrew SeniorLife’s clinical pastoral education program. She enjoys birdwatching, riding her bike, making art, and learning Yiddish.
