Batya Greene, LICSW, is a clinical social worker who joined Hebrew Senior Life Hospice 10 years ago. Batya has enjoyed watching the HSL Hospice thrive and grow from its early days into the vibrant organization it has become. Batya came to HSL hospice with extensive experience in home based intervention programs and outpatient mental health settings, focusing on the needs of aging populations. Her passion for working with seniors originates from her bonded relationships with her grandparents, who were instrumental in her upbringing and development. Batya assists the patients and families of HSL Hospice as they navigate the challenging and important chapter of end of life, offering resource connections, education, counseling, and support. She greatly values the bereavement services offered through HSL Hospice and follows families closely for a year following the loss, running bereavement groups and continuing visits and sessions with our wonderful families. Batya is passionate about end of life education and empowering our hospice patients and families to have strong voices in their care. She joins her devoted HSL Hospice colleagues in spreading the word that Hospice is about living your best life each day, focusing on what is most important, and directing your care based on your values and priorities.V
